Answer and generative engine optimisation

Get cited by AI, not just ranked by Google

More and more people ask a question and read the answer without clicking anything. If your business isn't in that answer, you're invisible to them.

What this actually is

Search changed shape. ChatGPT, Google's AI overviews, Perplexity and Gemini now answer directly, and they build those answers from sources they can parse and trust. Ranking fourth for a keyword matters much less when nobody scrolls to the list.

The work is different from classic SEO, though it sits on top of it. Machines need to understand what your business is — not just that a page mentions a phrase. That means structured data that actually describes your services and prices, consistent facts about you across the web, and content written in a way that can be lifted and quoted without losing its meaning.

We'd rather be straight with you about this: it's a young discipline and nobody can promise you a position in an AI answer. What we can do is make your business the easiest one in your category for a machine to describe correctly. Right now, in Pune, that's a low bar that almost nobody has cleared.

What it covers

01

Baseline testing

We ask ChatGPT, Google's AI overviews, Perplexity and Gemini the questions your customers ask, and record what they currently say and who they cite. You can't improve a position you never measured, and almost nobody has measured this one.

02

Structured data

Schema markup that genuinely describes your business, services and prices, rather than the generic block a plugin generates. This is the most direct way to tell a machine what you are, and it's still done badly almost everywhere.

03

Entity consistency

Your name, address, services and claims matching across your site, Google Business Profile, directories and anywhere else you appear. Contradictions make you a risky source to quote, and AI engines resolve that by quoting somebody else.

04

Quotable content

Answers written so they survive being lifted out of the page. A self-contained paragraph that still makes sense on its own gets used. A sentence that depends on the three before it does not.

05

Question-led pages

Built around how people actually phrase things when they're asking rather than searching. The two are different, and the gap is widening as more people type full questions.

06

Monthly re-testing

The same question set, re-run every month, showing where you now appear and where you don't. Including the months where nothing changed, because that's information too.

What you get

  1. 01Schema markup describing your business, services and prices properly
  2. 02Entity consistency — your facts matching across your site, Google, and directories
  3. 03Content restructured so answers can be lifted cleanly
  4. 04FAQ and question-led pages built for the way people actually ask
  5. 05Monitoring of whether you appear in AI answers for your key questions
  6. 06The same groundwork feeding your classic search rankings

How it runs

  1. Step 1

    Read

We ask the AI engines your customers' questions and record what they say now, and who they cite.

  2. Step 2

    Structure

Schema, entities and facts, made consistent and machine-readable.

  3. Step 3

    Write

Content built to be quoted, then re-checked against the engines monthly.

What it costs

How it's pricedMonthly retainer

We include this in every SEO engagement rather than charging for it separately. Plenty of agencies are pricing it as an add-on. We'd rather it just be part of doing search properly.

We don't publish a number for this one, because an honest one depends on the job. Tell us what you're trying to do and you'll get a real figure, in writing, without a sales call first.

Get a figure in writing

Is this right for you?

Probably, if

  • Your customers ask questions before they buy
  • You're in a category where AI answers are already appearing
  • You want a head start on something most of your competitors haven't noticed

Probably not, if

  • You need enquiries this week. This compounds over months, like the rest of search. Ads are the answer for this week.

Questions we get asked

Is this different from SEO?

It overlaps heavily and builds on the same foundations. The difference is that SEO aims at a ranked list and this aims at being the source of a written answer. We do both together because doing one without the other wastes half the work.

Can you guarantee I'll appear in AI answers?

No, and be careful of anyone who says they can. The engines don't publish their rules and they change often. What we can do is fix every reason a machine currently has to misunderstand or ignore you.

How would I know if it's working?

We test the same set of questions every month across the major engines and show you what changed, including when nothing did.

Tell us what you're trying to do

No pitch deck, no discovery call you have to sit through. Describe the problem and we'll tell you whether this is the right service for it — including when it isn't.
